1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using the ScanMyNotes Android app or website, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These terms form a binding agreement between you and Anvix Labs.
2. The service
ScanMyNotes is an application that converts handwritten notes into digital text using OCR (optical character recognition) technology. The service also offers optional text-to-speech audio generation and AI-assisted grammar and spelling correction. ScanMyNotes is available as an Android app on Google Play and as a web app at scanmynotes.in.
OCR accuracy depends on handwriting quality, image clarity, lighting, and script. We do not guarantee any specific accuracy level. AI-generated corrections are suggestions only and may contain errors — always review before use.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use ScanMyNotes. If you are under 18, you must have verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian, as required by India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. By using the service, you represent that you meet these requirements.
4. Account responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorised access, notify us immediately at support@scanmynotes.in.
One account per person. Sharing accounts or credentials is not permitted.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
— Upload content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, or that infringes third-party rights
— Upload content containing personal data of others without their consent
— Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, probe, or abuse the service or its APIs
— Use automated tools, scripts, or bots to interact with the service
— Bypass plan quotas through multiple accounts, account sharing, or other means
— Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the service
— Use the service to process content you do not have the legal right to process
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, without refund.
6. Your content
You retain full ownership of all notes, text, and content you upload to ScanMyNotes. By uploading content, you grant Anvix Labs a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, and transmit it solely to provide the service to you. This licence ends when the content is deleted from our systems per our retention policy or by your request.
We do not claim ownership of your content. We do not use your content to train AI models. We do not sell or share your content for advertising or third-party marketing.
7. Plans, quotas, and billing
ScanMyNotes offers a Free plan and paid subscription plans (Basic, Premium). Plan features, prices, and quotas are listed on scanmynotes.in and within the app.
Free plan: The Free plan provides a one-time, lifetime allowance of scans and other features. The Free quota does not reset monthly. Once you have used your Free allowance, you must upgrade to a paid plan to continue scanning.
Paid plans: Paid plans have monthly quotas that reset each billing cycle. Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance via Razorpay in Indian Rupees (INR). Unused quota does not roll over to the next month.
Retention by plan: Uploaded scans are retained for the period associated with your plan at the time of upload — 30 days for Free, 180 days for Basic, 365 days for Premium. Generated audio is retained for 365 days on all plans. After the retention window, content is automatically and permanently deleted. Plan upgrades do not extend the retention of scans uploaded under a previous plan.
Price changes: We may change prices with at least 30 days notice to existing subscribers. The new price takes effect at your next renewal.
Taxes: Prices may be inclusive or exclusive of GST as indicated at checkout. Where applicable, GST will be added at the prevailing rate.
8. Cancellation
You may cancel a paid subscription at any time from the Account section of the app or website. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access to the paid plan until then, after which your account moves to the Free plan automatically.

9. Account deletion
You may request deletion of your account at any time by emailing support@scanmynotes.in from your registered email address. We will complete deletion within 30 days. All stored scans, audio, and account information will be permanently deleted, except for payment records that we are required by Indian tax law to retain for 7 years.
10. Service availability
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee 100% uptime. We may perform maintenance that temporarily interrupts access. We may also modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice. We are not liable for losses arising from service interruptions beyond our reasonable control, including outages of third-party providers (AWS, Google Cloud, Razorpay).
11. Disclaimer of warranties
ScanMyNotes is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that OCR will achieve any particular level of accuracy.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Anvix Labs (and its proprietor) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total cumulative liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the total amount you paid us for the service in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or ₹1,000, whichever is greater.
Because Anvix Labs is a sole proprietorship, the proprietor is personally liable for the obligations of the business under Indian law.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Anvix Labs and its proprietor from any claims, damages, or losses arising from your violation of these terms, your misuse of the service, or your infringement of any third-party rights through content you upload.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Gautam Buddha Nagar, UP, India.
Before initiating any legal proceeding, you agree to first attempt resolution by contacting us at support@scanmynotes.in and allowing 30 days for a response.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email at least 14 days before the effective date. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
